These are the second in the series of photos that Juliette took of me. We went out into a nature reserve and I got to just lie around on the grass. The feathers I’m throwing are wild turkey feathers, dropped by a couple of the birds that we saw when we arrived at the field. My car is doing terribly, so I nearly had a panic attack as we were driving out there; but it was all worth it in the end. I drove a solid 45 miles per hour on the way home, refusing to budge for any irate drivers behind me.
Looking at these photos makes me miss Gainesville terribly.
I’m already back in New York; and it’s strange, exciting and exhilarating to be here. This is, however, why the photos aren’t the best quality. I’m going to re-upload the original, high-quality photos so that the picture is a million times better. For the time being I’m up here doing interviews, which I’m simultaneously ecstatic and terrified about. Up until this point I’ve been depressed about leaving Florida behind, but as soon as I caught a glimpse of the Manhattan skyline from my window, my heart flipped, and everything that I had felt up until that moment seemed to fall by the wayside.
