I’m so sorry it’s taken me forever and a day to put up another post! I was going to do some work over spring break, but naturally my computer decides that it doesn’t need internet, so I’ve been surviving off of my iPhone until I got to school last Monday.
Over break my boyfriend and I headed up to New York. My grandparents live about 20 miles outside of Manhattan, so we were able to take the train in every day and soak up the glorious energy of the city.
My boyfriend snapped these after my second interview. We’d just come from lunch at the Yale Club with my grandfather, and I wanted to show him around Central Park. As a child this was one of my favorite spots. I used to climb around the statue every time I visited with my parents.
Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland always held a certain charm for me, opened up my imagination in ways that no other story really did, so I thought it would be appropriate to take pictures over here.
I’ll post a little more about our trip in future posts. All of my interviews went very well, and all of the people I met were very warm, open people. I fell in love with the city all over again.
The boots I’m wearing are from Dillards, Levi’s jeans, an Ann Taylor Loft blouse and an H&M blazer. I felt very equestrian in this outfit, but also professional. This is a really tailored look for me, but I was so confident in it, and I felt like a million bucks.
