I got to dress up for my last formal date function this week. As a parting gift to myself, I wanted to really make a bang in my dress. I found this beautiful polka dot and lace number in Urban Thread, one of my favorite shops in Gainesville.

My boyfriend shoved this Kate Landry clutch in his jacket coat without telling me at some point during the evening, causing me to frantically run around seeing if anyone had seen who stole my purse. When he comes out of the bathroom I frantically reprimand him about “securing” my bag without informing me beforehand.

Besides that, the night was fantastic. I danced the night away, which of course required some dress holding on my part, but it was a small price to pay for getting to wear this beauty. It flowed out like a princess dress and caressed me in fabric all night.

Here are my beautiful red Jessica Simpson open-toed pumps to add a little pop to the look.

The gorgeous button detail was great, but my favorite was the way the lace accentuated every curve without making me look bigger than I actually am. I was considering an up do, but I think leaving my hair down was a much better idea.
